Did you know the Romans had one of the most evolved systems of roads in the world? From Wikipedia: “Roman roads enabled the Romans to move armies and trade goods and to communicate news. The Roman road system spanned more than 400,000km of roads, including over 80,500km of paved roads. When Rome reached the height of its power, no fewer than 29 great military highways radiated from the city. Hills were cut through and deep ravines filled in. At one point, the Roman Empire was divided into 113 provinces traversed by 372 great road links.”
The goal of the “Roman Roads” game is to build a path (road) to reach the final destination, leaving from "Rome". You will need to use the building blocks that are falling down to reach your goal.
As the game progresses, you will have to pass through various checkpoints on your way to the final destination. Each checkpoint has a number on it and you have to pass through each of them in order. Also, the rule of "all roads lead to Rome" applies here; all the squares need to be connected from the starting point and as a result they will disappear when you complete the path. All squares that are not connected will stay on the board after the level is completed and it will negatively impact the score.
Several other helpful (or not-so-helpful) squares are being sent your way and you need to deal with those. The type of connectivity of each square (the number of links possible) also contributes to your score.
So, go ahead, see if you can get to 29 roads to Rome!
Enjoy,
The Project Eureka Team.
P.S. If you like playing Tetris, or block dropping puzzles, you will definitely enjoy this game.
